I recognize that my primary responsibility as a member of the California Association of Healthcare Admissions Management, regardless of my official title, is to perform the functions of my admitting management assigned to me to the best of my ability. I will be guided by the following principals. I will:
1. Place service to the patient as primary and provide the services consistent with the need for quality health care.
2. Conduct myself in the practice of this profession so as to bring honor and dignity to myself, my hospital, the admitting profession and the Association.
3. Maintain complete and confidential admitting records in accordance with hospital policies and professional management techniques.
4. Recognize the source of authority and powers delegated to me and perform my duties to the best of my ability.
5. Maintain and uphold the dignity of my profession.
6. Constantly endeavor to improve my professional knowledge and skills and communicate appropriate information to those who may benefit.
Cooperate with other health professions and organizations to promote the quality of health programs and the advancement of medical care, ensuring respect and consideration for the responsibility and the dignity of medical and other health professions
